The Issue
With a back log of redundant IT, networking & mobile devices, the challenge for SDS was to maintain the level of compliance whilst adding more value for the trusts redundant assets, compared with existing channel partners.
Also, the current external software used was not fully integrated into the trust’s internal software solutions. Assets included:

The Solution & Result
After a full review of the current data solutions used,
SDS recommended the following:
Using the Securaze software, as it was possible to implement an API feed into their internal systems then each asset could have full complete traceability in the lifecycle of each asset. Each asset is issued with time & date stamp verification of data wipe and is backed by a multimillion-pound indemnity insurance. The software was also able to identify other flaws in the current software used relating to HPA & DCO areas of the hardware.
Their redundant mobile devices were MDM locked and would normally have to be destroyed in this instance, as there was no way to obtain the serial numbers and imei numbers. Our software was able to read the data which could then in turn be used as confirmation for their IT department that the units could then be identified and released from MDM to be securely wiped.
